Last June 10, 2010, the De Mazenod Community officially welcomed 53 college seminarians. They were carefully chosen by the 3 resident formators, Fr. John Jeneval Palomar (Director), Fr. Jaime del Rosario, (Dean of Studies) and Bro. Bruno Torres, (Treasurer).
The new set of JOMIs consists of 21 freshmen, 20 sophomores, 10 juniors, and 2 seniors. With 21 freshmen from all over the country, the new academic year offers another year full of excitement and challenges.
The ‘guys’ from the Luzon area had their trip to OMI institutions and missions in the City and North Cotabato accompanied by their official guide, Fr. Jun Jacobe (Vocation Director in the Luzon area until June 1st) prior to the orientation program.
The college seminarians began the orientation classes on June 15th with the students from the different colleges at Notre Dame University.
The ‘official’ formal opening of the new academic year will be on July 9th
